DJ Himanshu Mishra reveals his dream to work with international artists

DJ Himanshu Mishra, a well-known figure in the music industry, opened up about his early struggles. He has worked on numerous top-rated albums and has earned accolades from his audience.

In an interview with a media outlet, Himanshu shared, “Originally, I had aspirations of becoming an entrepreneur and a DJ. However, due to a lack of opportunities, I ended up taking a job in the technology sector. I worked in the technology industry for over 14 years. It was during this time that the idea of starting a music company came to me on September 17, 2012. I named it GrooveNexus and created a YouTube channel and a Facebook page. In 2017, I joined a digital marketing business as a director, along with my brother Nishant Mishra and his partner Prabhanjan Deshpande. They needed a leader with a technology background. Later on, I proposed the idea of establishing a media and entertainment company. In 2019, we founded the music company with Nishant Mishra and Prabhanjan Deshpande as co-founders.”

He expressed his dream collaboration, saying, “I admire several international DJs, but personally, I would love to work with David Guetta. My vision is to establish an international music label that offers a global platform for Indian artists associated with us, enabling them to collaborate with diverse international singers and DJs. In my childhood, various artists and music genres inspired me. Among Indian artists, Baba Sehgal truly motivated me. As for international artists, Michael Jackson was my favorite. I started listening to English pop at a young age, then I explored Indian pop, Bollywood, and Punjabi music. During my college years, I discovered rock and metal music. It was during this time that I first learned the fundamentals of DJing. Later on, I became captivated by electronic and trance music. After finishing college, I became a fan of David Guetta. His rise to fame after the age of 40 inspired me to pursue my passion.”

Regarding his upcoming projects, he shared, “I recently launched two new channels for hip-hop and rap music, as well as electronic music. My goal is to engage in various content collaborations. Additionally, I will be collaborating on music videos with a few emerging artists. Recently, I was featured in a music video titled “Kudi Mainu Kendi” by Traxeon and AVin.”
